Description

Elsewhere in the Northeast, the period about 1,000 years ago was marked by settlement and subsistence change that scholars often linked to the proliferation of maize horticulture. This influential chapter utilizes improved temporal resolution on shell-bearing sites to illustrate similar settlement subsistence changes in the Passamaquoddy Bay region, absent maize horticulture.
