A Guide to Health Care History Materials in New Brunswick

Gail G. Campbell writes in her introduction that this guide "provides a resource for those interested in the institutional history of hospitals, asylums and clinics, for those interested in the shaping and impact of government policy in the field of the provision of health care and for those interested in the social history of health care: the history of doctors, nurses, and, most important, of patients." Although somewhat dated — many of the government libraries identified as repositories have long since been shuttered — the guide is a very rich source of information on the archival and artifactual holdings of New Brunswick's major memory institutions.
