Description

Dalhousie University professor Steven Mannell is a leading historian of the Modern Movement in architecture as it manifested itself in Atlantic Canada. This book was one of the first to critically evaluate iconic examples of postwar buildings in a region that is typically not considered in the canon of modern Canadian architecture. The selected buildings were nominated by the four provincial architects' associations, but the New Brunswick submissions were less applicable to the book's aims compared to the others.
