Final Report on the 1983/1984 excavations at the Mud Lake Stream Site (BkDw5), Southwestern New Brunswick

The Mud Lake Stream site, on Spednic Lake, was notable for having both Transitional Archaic (Susquehanna) period and Maritime Woodland period occupation. It is thus significant both for understanding cultural transition in New Brunswick and for the relationship of New Brunswick to other parts of eastern North America during the Transitional Archaic period.
