Homeplace: The Making of the Canadian Dwelling Over Three Centuries

This study of domestic shelters in Canada, from the mid-17th century to the early 20th, attempts to shed light not only on the similarities and differences in house form and appearance, but also on the socioeconomic forces that affected them. A number of New Brunswick example are investigated.
