Neoclassical Architecture in Canada

The Neoclassical style had an enormous impact in Britain, France, and North America during the early to mid-19th century. With its new way of looking at ancient Greek and Roman buildings as precedents, the decorated and ordered style was popular for institutional and religious buildings alike. New Brunswick examples in Saint John, St. Andrews, and Dorchester are shown.
