Description
The Palladian style is named after Italian Renaissance architect Andrea Palladio, who codified its rules of symmetry, lateral wings, projecting frontispieces, triangular pediments, and careful use of Classical motifs. The style became popular in England during the early 18th century, and later migrated to the northern British colonies. A number of churches, educational buildings, and residences throughout southern New Brunswick are presented.
