Description
Clarke, who worked as a dentist in Woodstock, was an avocational archaeologist who collected and wrote about archaeological sites, many of which were later flooded by the Mactaquac Dam. This book chronicles some of the only archaeological work from that area. Clarke's collection is now held at the University of New Brunswick, where it continues to be studied. Clarke, also an important New Brunswick writer, was awarded an honorary doctorate in 1969.
