The Far Northeast: 3000 BP to Contact.

A collection of seventeen papers and the first comprehensive treatment of the period between 3000 years ago and sustained European Contact ca. 500 years ago (the "Woodland") for the region encompassing northern New England, Atlantic Canada, and adjacent Quebec (the Far Northeast). Seven papers address the archaeology of New Brunswick specifically, encompassing topics such as taxonomy; late pre-Contact settlement and mobility; burial ceremonialism; copper sourcing; lithic procurement, exchange and sourcing; and ceramic technology and technological change.
