John Salter Allen
1842-1923

John S. Allen was born 8 April 1842 in Burlington, Nova Scotia.  He was a Methodist Minister, attaining his degree from Mount Allison University in Sackville, NB in 1862. He served Newfoundland, and then the New Brunswick and PEI Conference. He served in several places in New Brunswick, including Gagetown, St. Marys, Bathurst and Fredericton. He died 29 December 1923 in Nakusp, BC.
