Jon Claytor
1972-

Jon Claytor was born in  1972 in San Francisco.  He is  Canadian visual artist, filmmaker and designer who moved to Sackville, New Brunswick as a teen. He is the co-founder of Sappy Records (with Julie Doiron), Sappyfest and Thunder and Lightning Ideas Ltd. (with Paul Henderson). He has taught at Mount Allison University. He studied at the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design and Mount Allison University and received his MA from York University in 2012. He has exhibited his paintings and his films have screened throughout Canada since 1993 and have received numerous grants and awards. He has published one graphic novel, Take the Long Way Home (2022) and is working on another one, Reflections On The Ghost Cube.
