Basil Partridge
1894-1981
Basil Gilpin Partridge was born 2 October 1894 in Nova Scotia. He wrote I Dance with Romeo (1941), You can't go naked (1942), The Penningtons (1951) and Chaplet of Grace (1956). From 1895 to 1906, Basil’s father Francis Partridge, was the Dean of Christ Church Cathedral in Fredericton, New Brunswick. The Peninngtons is a fictional account of his family in Fredericton. Partridge died in 1981 in Toronto, ON.
