Changing Views of Aboriginal Seasonality and Settlement in the Gulf of Maine

Using faunal data from Passamaquoddy Bay, New Brunswick and Penpbscot Bay, Maine, this paper showed that ancestral Wabanaki people lived year-round on the coast during the Maritime Woodland period, in contrast with patterns of seasonal transhumance inferred from ethnohistoric records
