Using faunal data from Passamaquoddy Bay, New Brunswick and Penpbscot Bay, Maine, this paper showed that ancestral Wabanaki people lived year-round on the coast during the Maritime Woodland period, in contrast with patterns of seasonal transhumance inferred from ethnohistoric records
