Discoveries at a Village of the Stone Age at Bocabec

An account of excavations by the Natural History Society of New Brunswick at the Bocabec (or Phil's Beach) site. This paper is notable as the first good description of Indigenous domestic architecture from New Brunswick. Matthew recognized stenographic and artifact changes at the site, which permitted him to infer a cultural change in away that would be unrivaled in the region until the radiocarbon revolution.
