Environmental Impact Assessment, Regulation 87-83 under the Clean Environment Act

This regulation mandated the completion of environmental impact assessments in advance of development projects that met specific environment triggers. As a result, this amendment to the statute increased the regulatory role of the provincial archaeology branch and essentially spawned the modern cultural resource management industry in New Brunswick
