Description

One of the few published papers on Loyalist archaeology in New Brunswick. It compares and contrasts the foodways exhibited in the archaeological record at Samuel Bliss's homestead with those of Indigenous sites from the region and historical and genealogical impressions of Loyalist foodways. Interestingly, Bliss appears not to have hunted marine or terrestrial mammals but did fish and keep domestic animals.
