Description

These are the most recent provincial guidelines for conducting archaeological research in New Brunswick. They were published after the enactment of the Heritage Conservation Act (2010) and consolidated the 2009 guidelines into one document for both academics and CRM practitioners with some minor revisions. It also introduced the provincial archaeological predictive model map (a requirement for all field research), removed the built heritage guidelines (now handled by historic places section), and removed the definitions of "significance" and "integrity" in relation to archaeological resources.
