Description
An Ottawa photographer, Schade spent his summer vacations, from the early 1960s to the late 2000s, on a quest to photograph every noteworthy building in Canada. He came close to achieving his goal. His journeys took him from coast to coast, and the result is one of the largest collections of Canadian architectural photography in the country. His 28,000 colour slides are now in the collection of Library and Archives in Canada. They contain hundreds of images of New Brunswick architecture, much of it since altered or demolished. This book is a detailed listing of the communities and buildings photographed.
