The letters, journals, and memoirs of Joseph Robineau de Villebon, commandant in Acadia from 1960 to 1700. The construction of his palisaded Fort St. Joseph (later renamed Fort Nashwaak), at the confluence of the Nashwaak and St. John rivers at present-day Fredericton, is thoroughly explored.
