This book comprises a series of conversations between a sixteen-year-old girl and an Arab man, Ishak, who is a friend of her father. They discuss many aspects of Western and Eastern cultures, exploring topics of art, music and love. The front cover depicts the two main characters: a White North American teenage girl and an Arab man wearing a headscarf. No illustrator is credited, and the book has no internal illustrations. The book is distinct from other Brunswick Press titles in that it is spiral bound.
