The Cat, the Cow and the Kangaroo: The Collected Children's Verse of Desmond Pacey
Publication Details
Fourteen years after The Cow with the Musical Moo and Hippity Hobo and the Bee appeared in brightly coloured editions, Brunswick Press published the entirety of Desmond Pacey's poetry for children in one volume. The book includes his previously published verse as well as the unpublished material that was intended for a third and fourth picture book in the 1950s. Compared to its predecessors, this edition is smaller and more textual in nature, with black-and-white drawings by Pacey's wife, Mary. The book contains twenty-seven poems ranging in length from a few lines to several stanzas.
