Lee D. Thompson

Lee Derrick Thompson is a writer, editor and book designer from Moncton, New Brunswick. He is the former executive director of the Writers' Federation of New Brunswick (2009-2013). Thompson's fiction has been published in five anthologies, including Random House's Victory Meat, New Fiction from Atlantic Canada and The Vagrant Revue of New Fiction. In 2007 Thompson started Galleon, a journal of literary fiction which has since morphed in Galleon Publishing.Thompson's first novel, S. a novel in [xxx] dreams, was published in 2008 by Fredericton's Broken Jaw Press. A chapbook, mouth human must die, appeared with Frog Hollow Press in 2017. In 2022, Corona/Samizdat Press published Thompson's novel Apastoral: a Mistopia, which won the Mrs. Dunster's Award for Fiction in 2023.
