William Dunphy Kearney
1825-1873
William Dunphy Kearney was born 12 June 1821 in New Brunswick. He married his first cousin, Martha Jane Kearney and they settled at Grand Falls, NB. In 1866, he was a justice of the peace in Victoria County. Kearney died 7 January 1873 in Grand Falls of typhoid fever. Kearney wrote an epic poem Entitled "The Open Hand" published at Presque Isle, Maine in 1864.
