Gilbert D. Allardyce
1932-

Dr. Gilbert Allardyce was born in 1932 in Massachusetts.  He received his PhD in Iowa in 1966 and became professor at the University of New Brunswick the same year.  In 1988 he was the recipient of the national 3M Teaching Fellowship. Allardyce won an award from the Jewish Book Committee of Toronto in 1993 for Chosen: A Holocaust Memoir which he co-authored with Eta Fuchs Berk. He retired in 1995 with 29 years of service and named Professor Emeritus in History at the 19 October 1997 UNB Convocation.
