Rev. William Quintard Ketchum
1818-1901

Canon William Quintard Ketchum, born at Woodstock, New Brunswick on 13 August 1818. Ketchum  was a minister of the Church of England. He attended UNB in 1842 and won the Douglas Gold Medal in 1844.  He received his BA in 1846 and his MA in 1849. From 1845 to 1860, Rev. Ketchum was curate of the parish of Fredericton, New Brunswick. In 1846, he was appointed rector of All Saints Anglican Church, St. Andrews, NB. In 1869, Rev. Ketchum was appointed canon of Christ Church Cathedral in Fredericton. He received a degree of DD from Columbia College, NY. Ketchum wrote The Life and Work of the Reverend John Medley D.D. in 1893. He died 10 August 1901.

    Scope and Content Note

    Fonds consists of journals kept by Rev. William Quintary Ketchum while serving as curate of the Parish of Fredericton and as rector of All Saints Anglican Church, St. Andrews, N.B. The first volume contains a few references to events before 1846.
