Lorraine Allain-Robitaille
1916-2015

Lorraine Allain-Robitaille was born in Sainte-Marie-de-Kent, New Brunswick on 10 October 1916. Allain-Robitaille attended the convent in Bouctouche and Normal School in Fredericton. After four years of teaching at Notre-Dame-de-Kent, she moved to Quebec City. In addition to continuing her studies, she taught English at Bell Canada and later became a teacher at the normal school of the Notre-Dame congregation in Quebec. She was co-founder of the Association of Ostomy Persons of Quebec. She retired to Bouctouche, NB and became an active member of the Moncton chapter of the Ostomy Association. She worked in many organizations such as the Pays de la Sagouine, Dame Chevalière, and was involved in the establishment of the Musée de Kent which is located in Bouctouche in the former convent of the Immaculate Conception. She died on 18 November 2015.
