Dale Estey
1949-

Dale Estey was born in Newcastle Creek, New Brunswick on 19 September 1949. Estey went to Minto/Newcastle Consolidated School as a child and Minto Memorial High School from 1962 to 1966. He later attended the University of New Brunswick, graduating with a BA in 1971. Estey won the New Brunswick Bicentennial Medal in 1984. He later moved to Halifax, Nova Scotia. Estey has written two novels, A Lost Tale (1980) and A Bonner Deception (1983). He has also published a collection of short stories The Elephant Talks to God (2006).

In the Nancy Bauer fonds at UNB Archives & Special Collections(MG L 39) there is a file which includes draft typescripts submitted by Dale Estey to Bauer for feedback and notes for articles about Estey. Includes handwritten note "Nancy Bauer is my literary executor" signed by Dale Estey April 19, 1979.
