Allen Bentley
1932-2019
Burton Allen Bentley was born in Vancouver, BC on 25 May 1932. Allen spent his early life in Grimsby, Ontario, received a BA, MA, Cand PhilM (U of Toronto) and moved to Fredericton in 1965 where he began his career as a professor of English Language and Literature at St. Thomas University in Fredericton, NB. Bentley was a poet who published in the STU magazine Floorboards and wrote essays about NB artists. He died 14 November 2019.
