Philip Lee
1963-

Philip Lee was born in 1963 in Maryland and grew up in Saint John, NB.  He has been teaching at St. Thomas since 2000. A long-time award-winning newspaper reporter, magazine writer and editor, he is the former editor-in-chief of the New Brunswick Telegraph-Journal. His books include Home Pool: The Fight to Save the Atlantic Salmon; Frank: The Life and Politics of Frank McKenna; and Bittersweet: Confessions of a Twice-Married Man. His latest book Restigouche: The Long Run of the Wild River (Goose Lane Editions 2020) was the winner of the New Brunswick Book Award for Non-Fiction. Lee is a founding Director of the Journalism program at St. Thomas and developed the Dalton Camp lecture series, broadcast by CBC’s Ideas.
