Riel Nason
1969-
Riel Nason grew up in Hawkshaw, New Brunswick, graduated from Nackawic High School, and now lives in Quispamsis. Nason is the award-winning author of seven books. She is best known for her debut novel The Town That Drowned, which won the Commonwealth Book Prize for Canada and Europe, and her picture book The Little Ghost Who Was a Quilt, which was a bestseller in both the US and Canada. Her works have sold translation rights in Japanese, Romanian, German, French and Scottish Gaelic. She is also a well-known quilter/textile artist.
